Terrible shame for Rendall Monroe a really good fighter who i really wanted to win yesterday. It was a tough ask going to Japan and taking the belt, but even though he came up a little short, he did his best and i thought he fought a good fight and definatly proved he belongs at world class. What do others think?

Im think he can definatly come back and win a world title one day. He still did himself justice over there in what was pretty much a mamoth task.

    Unlucky Rendall

He did well against a very good champ. Some of the rounds were close. He held his own and showed he belongs in that sort of match up.

Hats off to him - he gave it his all. Unfortunately he came up short skills, speed and strength wise.

No shame in that. He just needs to go back to the drawing board and improve on all areas.

He had his moments to be fair to him - just a bit lacking but the experience will hopefully help him when he comes again.

He did what he could and didn't get beaten badly. But I don't see him improving at the age of 30 to become anything special.

A valiant effort. Just didn't have the skills and power to match Nishioka. At first i wasn't convinced by Nishioka but by the end i became a fan of both.

No shame losing like that, Munroe gave all he got, and when things got tough, I mean really tough, he stayed strong and saw the final bell. It's been a while since anyone managed to do that vs. Nishioka. The champ was simply too good and Rendall needs to learn how to cut down the ring more effectively, because Toshiaki's mobility pretty much dismantled Munroe's offense.
