Just had a discussion about this with a friend he seemed to think Holmes wud tko him late, while I was of the opinion it would end in a clear and wide UD win for Holmes.

I'd go with a peak Holmes on points. I'd pick him over Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield and Wlad too.

I think Vitalis style causes Holmes trouble but Holmes's speed wins the day.

Holmes might TKO him late. All depends how ragged Vitali gets when he's got to grab hold of the fight, we've rarely if ever seen Vitali down on points, so it depends how he would respond when Holmes lighting quick jab and movement helps him rack up the rounds.

holmes has probably one of the best jabs ever, vitali being a basic slow fighter would not be able to stay away from the hard, fast, crisp, accurate jab that holmes had, holmes would use the jab throughout until the ref stops the fight due to cuts, holmes is a very underrated fighter who never really was able to escape the ali shadow:think

I would favor Holmes due to stylistic clash that is not in vitalys favor. But people who say that Holmes might finish Vitaly, need their head checked.

Vitali outworks him to a very tight split decision win on a neutral location. Likely an SD for Holmes in the US and an UD for Vitali in Germany. Fans split with their scores too. Never-ending debates.

Holmes, all the way, all day. Holmes, jab alone would beat V. Klit. Holmes, had speed, chin and a good right hand as well. If Kevin Johnson can bust up V. Klit with the limited about of jabs he landed, then I believe Holmes would bust him up allot worse and stop V. Klit late on cuts.

i dont see holmes K.Oin vitali.

win on points yea ill give him a shot with that.

its too close to call id give any fighter a chance of winning U.D

but if i was to hear this fight end in a K.O i would have to say vitali would be the one doing the K.Oin.

but again im still on the fence of who would win this one

Clear ud for Holmes. Too quick and skilled for Vitaly whom he'd make look rather lumbering. It'd be competitive but not massively so.
As Tommyv says we've not really seen Vitaly down on points so it'd be interesting to see how he'd react.

Late TKO win for Vitali. Holmes drags out the inevitable with his jab & right hand, but Vitali's unorthodox style gives him fits eventually knocking him out.
