Very strange omission when you are speculating over the score...

Smith asked Watt if he knew Japanese when they reading out the scores  Don't think Sky were prepared for that, I'm glad they didn't disclose what the scores were, kept alive the false hope that Rendall could pull it back.

I must have missed that. No complaints though, I'm not a fan of open scoring.

I'm sure it flashed up on the above ring scoreboard when the camera was panning round..... I can remember seeing 39-37 somewhere.

It was a really brave effort from Munroe taking those whacks to the body...... he usually holds them alright but the Jap was bang on pretty much all the time.

Not just in Japan, it's for any WBC title fight. I don't like it at all.

Same here. Why they had to **** about with a 100 year old way of doing things I don't know.

Some WBC fights don't have it..... it wasn't done for Froch vs Dirrell (or Kessler) for example.

I'm sure Roger Tillerman is very grateful for that..... having Kessler 7-1 up after 8 :-(

The cards are announced at the end of the fight in any case...

You could have the crowd booing the open scoring if the home guy is losing a close fight and put that doubt in the judges mind.
