Great hypothetical match-up. Two conflicting styles that would make for a great fight. I tend to lean the way you do. Even though Larry for the most part cleaned up Ali's leftovers he was an incredible fighter. Best walkaway jab I have ever seen with jam on it. I'd like to know the physics of pulling that off. Larry also had a sweet right hook and uppercut.

In defense of Vitali, he has more chin then a Chinese phone book and a weird style. It looks so robotic and repetitive and easy to offend and defend against and yet it's not. Vitali punches hard and Larry outside of Cooney or a vastly over the hill Shavers or a past his prime Norton, never really faced a prime puncher.

I think Larry's forward/backwards jab is the difference here and those things that follow. Holmes ud.

Sure Ali faced a younger Norton. And he DID have good preformances after Norton, like against Cobb, Ledoux, and stephens.
Weaver actually was pretty good. A good slugger for sure. That's just your opinion imo.

Sure they will get a mention. They will to me anyways. Tyson may have beat them more convingingly but he also had a better style to do so.

Polls results are shocking.. Holmes would dance on him and comfortably win a decision.

Well...I didn't think we were being silly and counting legends who went the distance with SNV. Of course Barrett kicks his ass. ...As well as Bergeron and Liakhovich.

Holmes has too much speed for Vitali, but Holmes was there to hit. I just don't see Vitali shaking Holmes up, and I think Vitali would walk into a ton of jabs.

  10. Vitali by murder. Too quick and smart.

What a simplistic view of simplicity.

I can definetly see Vitali beating Larry.

I'm not trying to pull a "fighter a beat fighter b so fighter a will beat...", but I can't see Vitali loosing to a LHW once let alone twice.

Who do you think the best LHW in the world is?

Hopkins, Pascal, Dawson, Cloud? Do you think any of them would last 6 rounds with Vitali?

Yeah nothing like KTFO a top contender with a jab.
