Will the SIZE factor be a factor in Money vs Pac Man?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by SplitDecision, Oct 25, 2010.

  1. Considering the difference in size between the two fighters, will this come into play when they finally face off?

Yes, this is Pacquiao's biggest rival yet. Not only that but he actually throws(Clottey), doesn't dance around(Cotto), and isn't dead(DLH). Both fighters will eat a ton, I just hope Margz comes out on top.

Floyd definitely will enjoy a significant height and reach advantage over PAC . Also mayweather is overall just naturally a bigger man.

Just compare the size difference between DLH, MarqueZ and Hatton between the two

Floyd is not only bigger, but also better.

Both height and reach will be a factor when they fight.

Floyd won't face anybody he feels could beat him.

He's fighting Margarito for God sake and there is a problem with Floyd? Margarito will probably be 165 on fight night.

size isn't everything in boxing, man! Speed, Powerful or even killing punches, strategies, boxing techniques, and also smartness are others need to be applied by a boxer or a boxing-fighter.

I think the reach is a more important factor than size in this
fight - because if Floyd is able to turn it into a boxing match,
then his reach would benefit him greatly.

Floyd can fight inside - or outside, so Id probably favour him.

But Pac does have a tendency to make fighters think they are
ready to slug it out on the inside - only for him to blast a combo
of 5-6 on the chin, using his in and out movement.

Not really confident on this fight getting made anymore though.

Size would not be a factor, but the "urge" would. They are never going to fight. Floyd is scared. Let it go.

    Then we start discussing!

As of the moment, he did not even sign the contract.

The "when he beats Pac or Marg" thing are conditional statements. You make it like it is already a conclusion. Find the URGE first, then stop the VACATION. If he does that, then the fight is possible. But it does not mean he won already.

The dude is a cherry-picker. He will not face anyone who is a threat to him
