    The word popularity actually is a neutral word. It can be used with a negative or positive connotation . Don't kid yourself . The determinant for this debate is PPV buys. Theres no dancing around the facts. If Manny was more popular ,more people would support their hard earned cash to his popularity . It's really common sense really . And if you want to get intricate with it Floyd who's on vacation with no fight scheduled gets more talked about than Manny who's facing Margarito. I'm on 3 forums and those forums talk about Floyd more than anybody.

    Winning? He won because he looked around for the district with the WEAKEST politician and built a house there. Even then he was sending out assassination squads! :lol:

    That is cool, but doesn't make him more popular. He was nobody until he fought FMJ's leftovers. He will ALWAYS be in FMJ's shadow.

    That sponsorship theory is phoney.

    Ok so a minor celeb can have 5 sponsors who are relatively small in size and market share, and a well known person can have none as some do not.

    Also it depends what that person wants to be associated with because their may not be a brand that offers the correct amount of money.

    manny signed a 75 k deal with nike for petes sake that guy accepts anything but random blood tests.

    The reason I posted this video is because living in LA its hard to see anybody that comes throw LAX Airport receive that kind of welcome, and to see Manny do it just makes realize his the biggest star in boxing.
