can we say Hendo has a Strikeforce adrenaline dump after losing to Shields in his Strikeforce debut?...Rogan and Dana invented this garbage that Zuffa zombies believes in
I think in one case it may be true. Say ive been 9-1 or something fighting in just smaller shows no Dream, no Strikeforce not even KOTC and all of a sudden im getting the call and im fighting on a UFC card. More often then not the kinda nerves involved in that will effect you jumping from 2,000 seat arenas with no TV and then bam your fighting on a PPV or cable network in front of crowds as much as 20,000 fans.
:deal exactly.. its got nothing to do with anti ufc bull****. its just a side effect of the pressure that comes with fighting on the biggest stage there is.
I think people who have never competed in any type of sport are likely the ones who come up with that type of ****. Anyone whos played any sport or fought in anything knows about the kinda pressure you feel before the competition.
The term adrenaline dump has been around for ages. UFC is simply coining it to mean that coming to the UFC is coming to the big leagues. My coaches were telling me about adrenaline dumps before I ever had a fight. Just meant a **** load of nerves and adrenaline.....
They use it in reference to people coming up from smaller shows. Nobody ever said Hendo had an adrenaline dump to deal with; same for Rampage, etc, etc.
I remember it being used as an excuse for Rampage's "poor" performence vs Marvin Eastman in his first UFC fight.
In my first BJJ comp I was nervous as hell, jittery and anxious and it really effected my performance, afterwards what was just 5 minutes of rolling that I should be used too felt like I just done sprints for an hour. So I really believe in the adrenaline dump, people will find silly reasons to put **** on the UFC.
Thats competition for you only people who compete are fit to comment IMO. Ive fought in multiple combat sports and played multiple team sports but last Sunday was my first grappling tournament in nearly 2 years. The closer it got to my matches the worse I felt I kept asking has it been to long ? am I in good enough shape ? can I compete with these guys ? After 4 matches I felt like I on the verge of death I had no energy whatsoever I was just rolling on pure muscle memory.
Last 2 posts describe it perfectly. When I warm up before a fight, I am gassed after hitting pads for less than 30 seconds, even tho in the gym I can spar hard for 10-12, or 6-10 after 2 hrs of working out hard. Its an adrenaline dump.
Terrible feeling isnt it :yep I go through hours upon hours of grappling weekly and a brutal conditioning routine but last Sunday im gassed out just watching guys for a few hours while I do light warm ups. Meanwhile next day im in the gym going hard for 2 hours barely even breathing :-(
