They should just continue to bring random fighters at each UFC events, I know Randy did it a couple times, and did a good job.
Its a shame that Joe never mentioned that Sheilds has such superior grappling, or that his grappling was on another level, because I was unsure what Sheilds was any good at:nut
Rogan emphasizes ground control more than anything. He comments on grappling as a bjj guy, and values/points out grappling a ton. He is clearly, I mean blatantly there to cheer lead favored fighters in order to spark peoples interest in them. Apparently he is really good. Lots of people here still like Shields. I don't consider him a fighter, I consider him a grappler.
True, but he's a great fighter. I used to hate on shields a ton, and then the new era of wrestlers came along and I realized exactly how special Hughes was/is. Guys with wrestling backgrounds should take notes from his style. Its effective and highly entertaining. He had great success with his approach to fights, blend of gnp and subs was awesome.
The funniest part of 121, besides Brock's breakdance, was when Goldberg was hyping Arianny's Playboy issue and Rogan shouts out "OH SNAP! Your telling me you can see her naked?"
A third man who is/was a fighter on the broadcast would be good addition I think. Alternatively they could just get rid of Goldberg. He does my head in.
I agree. I was most shocked when Rogan called Shields Strikeforce champ. I thought naming your main rival would be taboo.
