So you're one of the small group that think a Maidana fight doesn't eliminate a Prescott fight? Who would you rather see him against? Prescott or Maidana? Maidana, a credible fighter who people say Khan is ducking. He's got a **** load more power than Prescott, He's got the biggest determination to win, and people WANT to see it. No one gives a **** about Prescott. He's old news. Really, Money? How much do you think he's going to get paid? Do you think he went out to Pakistan to help for money?
and this is why people hate khan fans and what they say on forums as they havent followed boxing properly and slag hatton etc off at a time they couldnt have named more than 3 boxers!
Really? I can't name 3 Boxers? No, I slag Hatton because I don't like him anymore. I never liked his mentality. I never liked the fact that he'd balloon into a heavyweight after a fight. And look now. Hatton snorting coke. How do you think that would make a former fan feel? A proud one? I don't think so. Go on Youtube and see the reactions of former fans after that Coke Snorting. People will be a lot harsher, trust me.
I didn't say he should be fighting Prescott now, of course not. If it was me though, I'd have wanted to right the wrongs of that night before moving up. I'm happy with the Maidana fight, It's a fight I'm looking forward to, and for what it's worth I'm hoping Khan does a job on him. If it isn't for money, give me a reason why he did the advert then?
i was/am a hatton fan since the start, he looks like a dick after the coke thing and its a shame but still respect what he did, nothing wrong with getting knocked out by the two best around i respect khan for the way hes come back but until hes fought at that level the hatton bashings pointless.
Glad to hear that. The last we needed is another case of a person saying he should fight Prescott instead of Maidana. The money isn't going to be big. I don't see it personally anyway. The help he has done before for other things just makes me feel that he'd do this for free. But who knows, maybe he did, maybe he didn't. It's hardly a masterclass advert which took him time and practice.
Can you please send me in the direction of a post which says he should be fighting Prescott instead of Maidana.
There's nothing wrong with the losses to the best P4P fighters at all. You're right, but I was comparing the way they took their defeats. What put me off is the way Hatton took his defeats. As reports told us, Hatton fell into depression and started snorting Coke. A year and a half after his loss does this emerge. A fan from your and my view would and should be absolutely gutted. We had no word on what would be next for Hatton, and when we did find out something about him, it was about him snorting Coke. I wasn't comparing their level of achievements at all. Hatton surpasses Khan's by a mile (as of right now). It was only in the manner of which they both took their defeats was what I was comparing :good
makes sense mate, thing is with hatton even though he looks a dick doing coke etc cos of it, the one good thing is that at least it showed how much it hurt and he cared.thats why i let his bad excuses pass as i hope theyr just cos he wanted to win so bad and was embrarrassed!
You can't really compare the way Hatton and Khan rebounded from defeat because both fighters were at different stages of their respective careers when they suffered defeat. Hatton had peaked when he fought Mayweather and was on the decline when he fought Pac so he had to face the harsh reality that he would never be the best, which is what he so desperately wanted. When Khan got beat he was, and still is, young so he knew he could come again and come back better. When ever a young fighter reacts badly to a loss it is a huge flaw that needs to be addressed as it can stop the young lad from regrouping, learning from his mistakes and coming back stronger. However i don't have to much of a problem with a guy at the end of the road, throwing everything into achieving his dreams and then taking the loss badly. Until i am in a similar position were i see everything i have been striving for for years come tumbling down around me i am not going to judge how others react to a similar situation.
You are full of **** man. If Hatton was a Muslim you would be a fan no matter what he did. Likewise with Khan, whatever he does or will do in the future, you stick up for him and make excuses just because he's a Muslim like you. You are a racist piece of ****.
Of course you can. Regardless of what stage they were/are at, a defeat is a defeat. Hatton still crawled back into his hole after the Mayweather defeat and didn't come out for a long time. How would that make a fan feel? And I really don't think Hatton was on the decline, personally. He came off a great win against Paulie Malignaggi. Looking at it stylistically, Hatton made himself look very good in a fight which he could have got caught coming in everytime, so I think he was still good to go. He might not have had the strong mentality he had before the Mayweather defeat, but I still think he was the same. Sorry, but from a fan point of view, I and many others didn't like the Snorting ****, and leaving us fans in the blue for so long. It was dissapointing and I was hoping we'd see him against someone like JMM for one last time.
