    :lol::lol::lol: Classic post.

This thread is full of outrageous fail. Hatton would beat the **** out of Gatti & leave him on the canvas squealing like a pig from body shots.

Oh boy, another boxing knowledge guru that likes to talk to people like theyre noobs.

Tell me suckass, when was Hatton truely elite? Never. The elite ko'd Hatton (and yet again, as I've said, NOTHING WRONG WITH WHO KO'D HATTON)

And obviously you don't process what you read, how many ****ing times do I have to say, that I specifically posted, I DON'T THINK GATTI WAS THE SAME OVERALL BOXER HATTON WAS.

Also, this is boxing, and were talking a capable Gatti involved, so if it drives you crazy to think he could pull out a ko over Hatton, maybe your fanboy bias needs to calm down a little before you post.

At 140, Hatton was probably too strong and too relentless for Gatti. In his prime, or at least his best at 140, Gatti would have made it interesting and competitive for maybe 7 or 8 rounds before gradually being overwhelmed. I'd say the ref stops it or McGirt throws in the towel around 10 or 11.

At 147, it might even be quicker. Neither was at their best at 147, but Hatton was still a higher level boxer at that weight and naturally bigger.

Still, a great fight that I would have gladly paid to see.

I don't know if you knew this or not, but you don't have to continue posting if you think the thread sucks.

I mean you posting "this thread is a joke" 89 times is, making a statement, or something, that readers will, care about maybe?

im not going to blame the ref for a loss because its your job to fight through whatever it is your going through and take the win. The ref wasnt taking Kostas Right hand missles for hatton. But I will say this

That ref let Hatton completely Maul Kosta
Hatton is a very dirty guy if hes not controlled

Hatton looked the same to me those guys at 140 couldnt take the body punches. 147 was more of a challenge and hatton took it.

I mean when Floyd move to 140 manny thought he couldnt bully guys like corley and sharmbae you have to move up to be considered a great because all of them did so no exceptions

I dont believe Gatti's long range skills are good enough to be able to keep Hatton on the outside, Hatton would find his way inside sooner rather than later, when he did, he would made it tough for Gatti. Gatti had a tendency to load up, get square when he felt under pressure (Ruelas), but unlike Ruelas, Hatton was a natural 140lbs, not a former super featherweight, therefore I envisage he would take a better punch.

Problem with Gatti when he tried to box, is that he went from trying to be a refined fighter, to abandoning his tactics to box, got square, let both hands go looking for power punches when he got hit or pressured, that would be exactly what Hatton is looking for.

Another thing worth pointing out, Ward hurt Gatti quite a few times to the body.

No. Who did Hatton beat? Every known name on his resume that he beat was a shot fighter, and every known name who was still a LIVE fighter either beat him or Ricky got saved.

KT - shot PLUS Ricky got help.
JLC - totally shot to ****
    Tackie - shot
    Vince Phillips - beyond shot
    Freddie Pendleton - beyond shot

Anytime Hatton ran into even a B+ fighter he had problems, he got saved against Lazcano and Collazo beat him. Hatton's best wins are Urango and Paulie, either of whom would get schooled by Manfredy. Ricky was a brawler, a hugger, a holder and a headbutter. Take those weapons away and what do you have left? Someone who's going to rush right in, over and over again, to hit and be hit until the ref pulls him off.

I like Ricky, he came to fight, but if he was better than Gatti, it wasn't by much. I would LOVE to see Ricky take a Mickey Ward shot to the ribcage.
