Of course he had the hometown advantage, no doubt about it. But this happens all the time everywhere. Besides, I had Ottke winning the second Brewer fight by at least 3 rounds.

Because of his style an being featherfisted he had so many decisions...

He is notorious for winning close, controversial fights in his hometown. I cannot think of another fighter that was on the winning end of so many close, or in the case of the Robin Reid fight - not close, decisions in his favour. If those fights had not been fought in Germany, it's a fair asasumption to make that Ottke would not have retired undefeated.

At least he had one loss with the Reid fight. I remember watching the fight, it really was a shame.... :-(

Look theres obviously some biased judging going on i Germany and you would have to be blind not to see it but you cant paint all german fighters with the same brush. Just because a fight is close does not mean robbery. The sylvester fight was close and could have gone either way, so was many other fights in Germany but it dosent mean every visiting fighter was robbed in them.Biased judging goes on in every country not just Germany

    I agree.

Germany does have a chequered past in regards to scoring fights and they do have the occasional **** up even today but they do appear to be trying to clean up their act lately.

One of the worst champions in the sport. I hate the protected ****. The sooner someone goes over to Germany and KO's him (cause it's the only way to get his belt) the better for the division and boxing.

NOOO..... I wouldnt say that.. Everybody who wins with big underdog status should be respected. Zaveck went to South Africa and his opponent was pretty good and many people thought that he would easily beat Zaveck. Zaveck knocked Isaac Hlatshwayo out and earned his title. He is not '' one of the worst champions'' IMO cause he made that what he is forced to do if he wants to be champion. Yeah, he is not greatest champion but he is the champion who did something surprising and we can't compare him with Sylvester who fights only in Germany and who became champion with the easiest way. You can't say same thing when we are talking about Jan Zaveck. It was one of the biggest upsets last year and that's the reason why I disliked about your comment.
