Oscar had a better jab than Cotto.

Cotto's jab, intelligent pressure, and body attack would have given Floyd hell. Hatton clearly frustrated Floyd early on, and other than footspeed, Hatton didn't have anything on Cotto. Floyd likely would win by UD, but I could see him being surprised by Cotto's timing and underrated skills. As far as I'm concerned, it's yet another missed opportunity for Floyd to prove that he's as good as he claims he is.

You realize you've said pretty much NOTHING?

Explain this "styles make fights" thing....what does that mean to you in terms of Cotto being easier? HOw is his style easier for Floyd then Hatton's style?

 Cotto could actually box and surprise some such as Judah or Mosley even with his speed. A Cotto of that time with no personal drama and hunger for boxing would have been a lot for any fighter and difficult fight for Floyd and anybody else.

Maybe, but you think that floored means stunned. And therefore no-one should take your opinion seriously.

Oscar has a more diverse jab than Cotto but I think Cotto has the better singular jab IMO.

Its not a "styles make fights" thing its more a "the guy that Floyd fought was tougher than the guy he didnt fought" thing just like they say Baldomir was tougher than Margarito would be, typical ***** logic.

Hatton's'style of coming in swinging widly leaves him open for counters. Hatton is tailor made for counter punchers. Keeping in mind that styles make fights i think Cotto might beat Floyd. Cotto is pretty well rounded stays tight behind a good jab throws with power and is a damaging puncher who can cut off a ring.

I know, but in the poll he was one of 6 who agreed with what MichiganWarrior said.

    Absolutely not.

Hattons style can be figured out inside a round.

Cotto is elite. Hatton never was

I don't know that Hatton was necessarily more difficult, but I think that Floyd would have taken Cotto apart all the same. Cotto is too easy to hit to win against Floyd. He'd have been getting tagged cleanly far too often. Floyd possibly would have stopped him on cuts at 140lbs.

I didn't know it was required that I write some big ass theory as to why. Either you agree or disagree... that's it
