I agree though Cotto would have been a harder fight for PBF than Hatton would have been. Cotto had a good jab went to the body and good power. But at the end of the day he has short arms, **** defense fights dumb, bad stamina busts up too easily and would get smashed by PBF especially in the later rounds. PBF by UD or late round TKo would be my pick.

You aren't required to write an essay on it, but you can expand on it. Anyone say lay a 4-5 word sentance down. Tells us nothing.

Why do you think Cotto would be easier? That's what I am asking.

Hatton had the better chin, faster hands and has fleeter feet, both Cotto and Hatton punch well to the body, Cotto has the better skills and the harder punch and is far more patient. I can see why the arguement would be made simply due to styles.

    damn right it was!

everyone forgets before this latest fad about jabs beating foyd, it was all about pressure. and hatton was IMHO the best pressure fighter around at the time.

the fight wasnt far off an equal matching at the time.

it is one of his most underrated victories by far.

at the moment people say cotto and forrest had a chance due to their jab, but back then it wasn't considered. it was all about floyd not handling pressure.

this is the dumbest thread of the week.

even cotto TODAY would be more of a challange then hatton then.

Made some good point. :good I'm one of those who don't think Cotto's jab is what some think it is. Don't get me wrong, but it's no where near Ikr, Forrest, or Taylor's thudding jabs.

No No. A prime Cotto could go close to beating Mayweather.

Hell no!!! Mayweather actually has the style that cotto loves to fight. We'll obviously mayweather is special and not ur ordinary BOXER, but cotto is much more comfortable fighting boxers than pressure fighters.

fair does. it is good i think, not as appreciated because he has uite a vaied attack, but good none the less.

id have been disapointed had floyd fought cotto instead of hatton tbh.

The Cotto that fought Mosley would have given Mayweather problems. Still, I think Floyd wins a 8-4, or 7-5 decision.
