How is that getting exposed? Yes he is technically limited, so? He is a brawler with a decent chin, good power, size, toughness, stamina. He is also only 24 and already among the top cw for some years fighting some good fighters. And he was already beaten by Cunningham. And came back from that. What is there to be exposed? If Lebedev wins he is the better fighter. That´s it. Well, Alexeev has mental problems he can´t take pressure and he fights nothing like Huck. I don´t think this fight is a good indication how a Huck-Lebedev fight goes down. I agree Lebedev should be the fav but witht the right gameplan Huck can wear him down and stop him late. :good
No. Great fight. Applause for that. But he could have chosen another opponent and be at the top, instead he will lose another fight and waste another year trying to come back from the loss. Good fight but bad move career wise.
I know English isn't your first language, but the word "exposed" in its truest and most literal sense as explained in my post that you quoted, does mean "revealed". Trust me, the term applies. The internet forum sense of the word is obviously different (where people use it to mean that someone has sucked all along just because they finally lose). When I say Huck's flaws are exposed even in his wins I'm using the word correctly - meaning that his flaws are very readily apparent and revealed (which they are) despite his overcoming them and being effective through his sheer strength. Some fighters are able to hide their flaws when they're in with easy or overmatched competition, and they only shine through when they step up. In Huck's case, you can tell he's got a limited game even against guys like Swamp Donkey. So far, it hasn't really inhibited his success. Against someone like Lebedev, it well might. This is why I say that Huck's relative lack of fundamental boxing skill for a world champion will be exposed against Lebedev (win, lose or draw) as they're exposed in almost all his fights. The term just has a stigma on it from idiots on internet forums using it incorrectly (ie as synonymous with "Lacy'ed" - or "shown to have never been any good at all and invalidating all their previous wins"). That doesn't mean it can't be used correctly in the right context.
If he jumps in with his combos, chin in air like he does, against Lebedev with his timing and counter punching abilities i can see Huck getting stopped dead in his tracks catching a left cross. Huck needs more space to punch than Lebedev does, trying to smother Denis wouldn't be smart imo. Respect to Huckic for taking the fight and im very glad Denis gets this shot seeing as he is the mandatory.
