WHAT I meant to say is they were trying to hype him but ppl have noticed or have gotten tired of waiting 4 his 100th fight to finally do something spectacular.

I felt Victor Ortiz was going to be a lock as an ATG.

Kept knocking out former champions out within 4 rounds. Looked like a perfect fighter until his heart got tested.

Amir Khan when he was with Frank Warren. Trying to make him out to be some kind of ledgend already when he beat Michael Gomez, who he is about two weight classes bigger than.

    Chad Dawson

Beats a couple of 40 year olds (who were once good fighters) twice and he's regarded as the best LH in the world. Crazy.

I remember this guy even made it onto one of the old fight night games on playstation.

So when he was due to fight Lewis, i didn't know much about boxing but thought, this guy is on fight night, he must be awesome.

    noooooo

but he did beat thomas Adamak so he's hardily the most rediculous hype job.

surely you can find better example than that.

When I was travelling round America this sumemr I ran into Billy C on a train (he has an online boxing radio show) and he asked me about Ian Napa, so someone's obviously been running their mouth touting him as the next big thing. He's domestic level with the punch power of an arthritic WI member.

I can't believe so many people are throwing Ward's name into the hat.

There is a reason for his hype.

Why? Did Napa cherrypick his opponents? Or is he in a vacation?

No doubt about it, and Khan showed he had heart in that fight as well, but the way he was built up by ITV and Warren after that was mindboggling to say the least.
