bottom line is that gatti never was an elite fighter while hatton earned his fights against elite fighters.

if gatti wasn't the king of excitement and remarkable comebacks we wouldn't be having this discussion.

hatton wins this fight.

 

It would have been a great fight to watch, but Hatton would have stopped him in the championship rounds.

 

Hatton is open but you need speed to nullify his rushes. there;s a chance of the cliche 1 punch can end it. I think Gatti could catch Hatton and put him down.Gatti can hit but if he can't stop hatton getting in the pocket he'll get worked over.Gatti simply doesn't have an inside game or the handspeed to rattle off 1-2-3 burst when Hatton hops in that kill zone gatti won't stop him getting in his domain which is inside.

I think Hatton takes it by TKO 11.

Also agree with you PIPO23, Hatton would work Gatti over on the inside.

I would say that Hatton was B+ class fighter, where as Gatti was maybe a B, or B - class fighter, slightly different level though imo.

Haha, you don't know me too well mr. jumptoconclusions. Just because someone has a avatar of someone they loved in boxing, doesn't me they are automatically biased. In fact I like to look at myself as one of the least biased people you'll find here, when it comes to my fighter.

Now, back to the point. If you don't think Gatti has a chance of ko'ing Hatton, then it's pretty obvious, your a fanboy.

 

Gatti has a chance of KOing the Hatton that fought Lazcano maybe.

But the Hatton that beat Philips, Tszyu, and Castillo? Gatti would have ZERO chance of winning.

Get it through your head.... Arturo just was not a top fighter.

They had the same reach and were the same height.

I'd pick Hatton, Gatti starts to brawl, Hatton starts to win. (Hatton from Zoo fight)
