When I said whether cotto is prime i'm using the general consensus on this forum that he is still prime after his victory against Yuri which i think is severely overrated when judging how much cotto has left in the tank at this early age.

WOW your scorecard of the first fight is way off, no wonder you have pac winning by 3 points.

Yes I saw the first Barrera-Jones fight. Cotto was the clear favorite vs Margo though, not as much as Barrera obviously, but it wasn't viewed as a 50/50 fight at the time.

Anyway, nothing more to really say here Rask. You make some good points and time will tell if Cotto still has it; I do hope you're right. The Foreman fight didn't really suggest the same to me but I'm very excited at the prospect of a Cotto-Berto fight or even a rematch with Margo, so we should find out soon enough.

Quintana was an undefeated prospect and went on to beat PWilly after losing to Cotto, so we can't just disregard him as a pile of ****. The way Cotto disposed of Chop Chop was very impressive to me at the time which is why I included that one as well.

    Cheers bro.

Pac's win was far more impressive, Floyd-Mosley was a snoozefest

    I disagree.

Lacy's shoulder-surgery had more to do with his decline than losing to Calzaghe. I have seen Lacy's fight with Omar Sheika from before he fought Calzaghe, and he was dire. It's a complete myth that he was the reincarnation of Mike Tyson in his pre-Calzaghe days. He was mediocre pre-Calzaghe, he was mediocre post-Calzaghe, but pre-Calzaghe he could punch, and then after his shoulder surgery he could not.

I disagree on Taylor because I don't believe the first Pavlik loss changed him as a fighter.

I don't think he deserved the decision vs B-Hop in either fight (scored the 1st one a draw and the 2nd to Bernard), and in both fights Taylor was rocked, and at that stage B-Hop was not a concussive puncher. That told me that Taylor always had a soft centre, and that the first big puncher he fought would expose it. Taylor was poor in his mw reign (Winky beat him by 1 point IMO, then he was poor vs Ouma & Spinks), and then he faced a puncher in Pavlik, who exposed the weakness which was already there.

After Pavlik, Taylor's performances were not different or worse than vs Ouma and Spinks, and his chin was just as weak as it always had been, when he was rocked by B-Hop.

In actual fact, I think Taylor's performance in the Froch fight was as good as he ever looked, up until he ran out of gas (another flaw which he always had).

Neither of these guys changed as a fighter in the way Meldrick Taylor did, IMO.

I am more than happy to post my card for the 1st Pac-Marquez fight, if you have the balls to post yours as well, and then we can compare round by round. I am very comfortable doing so because I have watched the fight many times, and can back up what I've scored for every round.

Snoozefest? That was Mayweather's most entertaining bout in years, in my opinion.

Not to mention his fight against Baldomir, even his own fans were leaving the arena before the final round...

Definitely, but even when the performances are that bad...I just concentrate on what Mayweather is doing, and that gets me through the bout.

Same with the Clottey v Pacquiao bout...that was boring, but I just focused on Pacquiao when I was watching it LIVE.

So you don't enjoy it when a boxer breaks down another boxer? Does it really have to be an all out war to get your attention?
