There are a lot of factors both ways that make this one kind of a toss-up.

    - It's in McKart's hometown...in his local high school, actually.

    - McKart has only fought once in two years and is well past it, with his 40th birthday just around the corner.

    - Munoz has lost two straight, and four of his last six.

    - Munoz did go to war with John Duddy and hold his own recently...and it's very probable that John Duddy (although clearly not the world-class operator his fans were hoping, as shown against Chavez) would probably shut out this current version of McKart.

    - McKart always had a good foundation of skill to rely on to make up for a lack of raw physical talent as compared to the elite...and he always had some pop (which is the last thing to go) - more than likely enough to hurt Munoz at some point.

    - Munoz always brings a high workrate and a lot of guts and wears some deceptive strength on his sometimes too-soft frame, all of which might be the keys to grueling through and springing the upset on an old man who doesn't know when to quit.

This won't make a lick of difference in the MW picture at large, but should be a really nice little action fight that almost none of us will get to see (unless someone from Michigan goes, records some home video and uploads it).

Is anybody besides booradley and myself even remotely interested in this? :yep

WATCH FOR THAT RIGHT HOOK! ;)

these kind of fights usually interest me, but yeah my response will probably be the only for a while, haha

Munoz doesn't look like much and I think he was selected to fight in McKart's hometown because they think Bronco can still win this one, and I think I agree

McKart was, at one time, a really good fighter.

I think McKart still has enough to give a guy like Munoz a boxing lesson.

    And this guy agrees.

I was going to go to this fight...Devil's Night. 20 bucks at the door. May still go. I will definitely be at the fights the night before. Chauncy Weliver vs Brad Gregory in Warren, Michigan.

The bookmakers over here don't give Munoz much of a chance, McKart is 1/50 & Munoz is 12/1

    -5000
    +1200

^^ I think is how you American's would do it

That's actually how I found out about this...looking at one of the boxing odds accumulator sites "McKart 1/50" jumped out at me. My first instinct was that it had to be some total tomato can but seeing that it's Munoz was weird - he doesn't quite fit that bill. The odds seem really excessively long (even though McKart should definitely be the favorite in spite of his age).

McKart pitched a shut out in his last fight. An article I read said McKart had the guy hurt, but got a little wild, and failed to finish him, but fought a near perfect fight in most respects. That's probably why the odds are so long.

I always wanted to see Bronco face Andy Lee here locally. Too bad these F'n casinos I was so excited to get have not pumped any damn money into boxing. But this is a decent weekend for boxing. Welliver is going to smash 1 of Stacy Goodson's guys on Friday in Warren and then Bronco is in a nice mix on Saturday with Munoz. 20 bucks at the high school should guarantee a nice seat close to the action for that 1.
