    Here's what I got for now:

    Flyweight: Walter McGowan, Benny Lynch, Jimmy Wilde, Jackie Brown, Jackie Paterson, Charlie Magri, Dave McAuley, etc.

    Bantamweight: Duke McKenzie, etc.

    Featherweight: Barry McGuigan, Howard Winstone, Naseem Hamed, Paul Hodkinson, Colin McMillan, Paul Ingle, etc.

    Lightweight: Ken Buchanan, Jim Watt, Freddie Welsh, etc.

    Terry Allen too. World flyweight champion around 1950 iirc, went 1-1-1 against the aforementioned Rinty Monaghan.

    you dont consider teddy baldock a world champion then?...not a complaint, just an observation...
    he was only considered by britain anyway as far as i know.

    johnny hill was recognised as flyweight world champion in 1928 by the new york state commission which was probably at the time the most prestigious organization in the states,hill won brit and european and world honors in just eighteen months sadly hill died of pneumonia aged just 23


    joe bowker holds wins over owen moran at bantamweight which was for the british tittle and frankie neil which was billed as a bantam world tittle fight. also a win over pedlar palmar which was billed as being for the english and world featherweight tittle

    digger stanley won a national sporting club version of the world bantam tittle by beating joe bowker

    Same status as Hamed, Khan or Akinwande. or were they born in England?
    Lewis fought for the Canadian Olympic team. whats his status?
