Ok I know there are tons of Mayweather threads, and sorry if I am coming across as ****ing dumb (I will admit I am not the smartest guy to talk to about boxing). In all the Mayweather fights, why has not one fighter been able to adjust to Mayweather? or at least change his game plan? I mean think about it, Mayweather has the ability to adjust, true, how many times in a fight does he adjust? once? twice? I mean has he had a fight where he has had to adjust constantly? When a fighter goes to fight Mayweather, why is it they seem to only have one gameplan? and when it inevitably fails, why do they still persist in trying to execute it? Like Mosley, smacked Mayweather with a good right hand, got excited cause he landed a big one, got a bit lucky with the second big one, when he noticed that he could not land that punch anymore, why did he not stop and think 'I better think of another way around this'. It seem every fighter plays right into Floyds hand's, they do what he expects them to do. Like in the Del la hoya fight, Oscar repeatedly tried to throw barrages of punches at Floyd against the ropes, he just lay there, blocked them all and countered. Didn't it occur to Oscar, that ain't gonna work, try something else. Is there no fighter in Floyds league smart enough to take him on at a mental level aswell as Physical? Would it not make more sense that in your preperation for a fight against Mayweather, you need to have multiple gameplans, not just one. It's like a fundermental flaw in fighting Floyd, you gotta come up with different approaches, and you gotta use your brain, not just your hands. Please correct me if I am wrong, I am not at all putting down Mayweather, I think he is highly talented. Granted I am frsutrated he has not faced certain other fighters, but I am not here to ***** about it, all the other threads are for that
Mosley was paid to lose, so no point in ad******g. He just made sure people saw that he was wheezing extra hard. :deal
Mayweather will not take a fight with anybody who can adapt or my have a stylistic advantage over him. this is why the Pacquiao fight never happend and we ended up seeing Mayweather vs Harris 2
Mayweather's ring IQ is top notch, so he's difficult to beat on adjustments, and a lot of fighters are geared to fighting one way in there anyway and would only be worse if they changed their own style. And of course, it helps that Floyd is good at matchmaking.
Matthew Hatton and Kahn better learn how to adjust! Im sure one of these guys will be fighting him soon.
Boxing is a lot harder than it looks. I know most people just see Floyd's opponents and think what the **** is that dumbAZZ doing, THROW PUNCHES! I found out it's very different to fight than watch a fight the first time I stepped into the ring. Most people don't realize that Floyd is always watching and setting his man up. Fans just think Floyd took away the enemy's gameplan, and that's it. AZZk most people how FLoyd set up the left hook that dropped Marquez, and they won't be able to give you an answer.
I believe they should have disqualified Floyd against Harris. According to reports, he was hitting her in the back of the head and while she was down.
