Watched it in my opinion woodhouse won by 2 rounds but could of gone either way I suppose

What I want to no is after losing two close points decision where both fights could of gone his way. Do the decisions go against him because he was a ex pro footballer

Glad this has been put up, i thought Curtis did some good work.
Yes he switched off and left it close enough for argument, but the good thing is it was a great learning fight and he will come back stronger like he did last time.

I guess in answer to your question, he has had a lot of good coverage throughout his career that plenty of young prospects don't get... that's obviously because of the football background. So, i don't think we can complain too loud if things sometimes may go against him because of the same thing. Not saying that IS the reason but i know what you mean and i guess some fans haven't taken to him for that reason.
Hopefully they give credit where its due in time.

Dave what was that about after you shook Mcdonagh's hand it looks like he turns and has a go at you for whatever reason?

You can already see a vast improvement in Curtis...remember his early bouts..he doing alright in the early rounds here..thinking about his work.

When the ref held up Peter's hand, i saw Curtis was absolutely gutted, so was i and went over to Curtis and said to him " you never lost that mate", as i thought he did enough to win an admittedly close, good fight.

Peter then came to me shouting "are you telling me i never won that fight". I was a little shocked and said "what" to which he repeated what he said. I just told him i was talking to MY boxer and walked off to his own corner to shake hands with his trainers.

To be honest, i don't feel i did anything to deserve that as i was consoling my guy and talking to my guy, it's not like i walked up to Peter and said "you never won that!"

It was probably heat of the moment stuff as Peter came over and shook my hand later, i've always got on with him in the past, and in fact put him on a Hayemaker card before.
It just goes to show how much ambition he still has as the wins mean a lot to him, he doesn't just come to make up the numbers.

Yeah just seeing it i saw you shake his hand and talk to Curtis, Peter's out of order there..least he saw sense after. He's what you want from a journeyman fighter. Comes to win and Curtis will come back from that fight i'm sure.

Thanks for Reply Dave Appreciate it.

    Thanks mate,
yeah.. he is what you want from an opponent. In fact, boxing fans want that kind of an opponent, gives value for the punters and teaches the prospect something... win or lose!!!
