whos getting kod first? can each man stand up to each others powerful punching ability? ill take big george in a right hand fest that would keep the crowd on its feet. this one is not lasting long 4-6 rounds tops.why didnt this fight happen?
does shaver connect with the big right and if so does big george take it and keep coming?this would be a brutal fight.
This.Shavers didn't have much of a chin and Foreman's was good.Foreman's height and reach will make it more difficult for Shavers to land.Lights out for Earnie.
I don't think that "one punch" from Earnie is going to finish Foreman, but I can certainly see Shavers getting into deep ****, with a one two combo from Big George. Sure, there's always the prospect of a puncher's chance, but I think Foreman gets him in trouble first, and doesn't let him off the hook.
I can see Foreman rocking Shavers with his jab ... keeping him off and finishing him in one or two .. terrible match up for Earnie ..
I'd bet on a Shavers making this fight a war with Foreman, especially if it happened in the late 70's with George staying in the game. If this fight happened when Foreman was champion, I'd only give Shavers the punchers chance. Earnie fought very good against Ali and became more disciplined after George retired. George still wins probably by KO based on his boxing skills, but not before he tastes the canvas himself. Shavers would be no pushover for George that's for sure. Shavers actually wanted to battle George in the mid 90's during both of their comeback years. The fight never happened.
Foreman ducked Shavers several times. Something tells me he could lose this one before he even steps into the ring.
I've deduced that the best response to most of shommel's H2H threads is this: (Lisa Bonet ate no basil.) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nej4xJe4Tdg[/ame]
