, All roads lead to the guy considered an ABC title holder, a paper champ, rather than the consensus HW champ?

Haye is starting to let his ego run wild.

I bet Haye and his mangager Adam Both are having a good laugh after all these interviews:

Haye: "Adam... haha imagine!!! I told them 'All roads lead to the Hayemaker'. The journalist happily jotted that **** down. Just like you said these guys never ask any critical questions, they happily write all the **** I tell them!"

Booth: "No **** David? hahaha That's hilarious, just like we expected our fans and media are dumber than I thought"

That'd be my guess, ppv numbers only come out here when they're really good, if it'd even been close to the Valuev fight I bet you we'd have heard about it. Alot of people who aren't boxing fans generally have mentioned that fight to me but it's usually "that guy who fought that big hairy bloke". It shows what a good job was done marketing "David vs Goliath" but I don't think it made David Haye himself a mega-star in this country. I wouldn't be suprised if many people who watched that fight won't buy ppv boxing again, it was awful.

He didn't make his name off their backs at all. It's hardly like Douglas after beating Tyson, where he would be synonymous with their (possible) opponent. Haye was a star before moving up into the heavyweight division and his fight with Enzo was a massive success. Sure, he's become a bigger name at heavyweight but that's because being 'heavyweight champion' is always going to attract interest. Every time he's called the Klitschko's out and made people laugh with his sharp wit, do you think these casual fans who've never heard of the Klitschko's are thinking "Wow, Haye thinks he can beat Wladimir, who boasts a good record, with wins over highly praised opposition such as Chris Byrd and is a good technician with a great punch" or do you think they are thinking "I like Haye, he has a good sense of humour and is an entertaining fighter".

People don't care about the Klitschko's outside of the community of genuine boxing fans. They don't know who either brother is, possibly the only memorable moment was Lewis beating Vitali but that's it. The idea that Haye has made his name off their backs is untrue. He's made his own name by being an exciting fighter, incredibly charismatic and beating Valuev.

The 900,000 fans who watched him beat Valuev don't care about either Klitschko. David Haye, like Hatton, Calzaghe and Khan, is a star in his own right. The guys they face are irrelevant to a certain extent, because nobody knows who they are.

''All roads lead to the Hayemaker''

Could that be his crytic way of telling us he's fighting Ryan Rhodes next?

There's an interesting post on this thread, midway down, concerning the BARB figures for the Haye - Ruiz PPV.

The poster estimates around 250,000 to 300,000 buys for the event.

Good, so let him be a fake champion with a tainted belt. No one will be fooled except him & his BRit fanbase.

The fact is, no one here in the USA knows who the hell David Haye is. At least they've heard of the Klitschko brothers.

Let's see how many USA PPV buys Haye gets fighting cherry picked stiffs like Audley Harrison.

    I'm a Haye fan.

But I have to be honest, he's begginning to **** me off.

Two years ago he was saying he's going to knock out the K bums.

Then when he gets there, all he does is boast about how he only gets up at mid-day and makes loads of money.

Yet his reason for not fighting them is about money, which he apparently has a **** load of?

****ing fight them or **** off!

Oh yeah I almost forgot, I am actually rooting for Audley. Destiny and all that ****.

This is just what Sven Ottke did in Germany. He boxed a bunch of stiffs in Germany, they celebrated him as a second coming of Max Schmeling and every little ******ed German boxing fan was happy.

Just like Haye said he sees himself in the lineage of Ali, Louis and Dempsey and every little naive Brit boxing fan is in heaven every time he beats up another 40 year old nobody
