Compubox means near enough nothing...it's slightly more reliable than you or I counting the punches landed in real-time. A good number of the punches supposedly landing on Mayweather were blocked, slipped, or even after the ref had said break. However, Castillo still had more success in that bout than any other of Mayweather's opponents.

I'm not even going to argue the result of the first Castillo bout with you, everyone has there opinion...and I thought Mayweather just edged it. The best way to watch that bout is with the volume down, and ignoring the scorecards...

if mayweather wanted a tune-up at welterweight, why fight a midget that had only fought there once ??? why not fight a legit welter, who is slow as hell and easy to hit...FOR A WHOPPING 8 MILLION DOLLARS

and as far as the castillo comment...i meant the way he approaced weight divisions....he went straight for castillo at 135 with no tune up...after that, 140, 147 and 154 were all a joke

no...the offer came after that, but i'm just saying...it's clear as day that ever since he entered 147, he wanted all the easy routes

look i agree there was a time that he should have fought Margo and to me its again when Margo donkey kicked Cotto's ass all over the ring......other than that i didnt see where he went wrong in not fighting Marg....he fought Baldo for a little more money wasnt going to be tied to Arum and got the lineal title....i mean even you know the obvious choice here. Ontop of that how are we to know Margo would have done any better with Floyd than Baldo?

Now dont get me wrong Margo is better than Baldo but really its the same slow pressure and slow wide shots...Floyd would have a field day to me...but like you i would have rather him given us a definite answer by facing him....same for Cotto.

I heard the purse was upwards of 12 million dollars.

So are you telling me that you would fight the linear champion or fight a nobody which he was at the time for less money?

    Which would you do?

You heard? And that's supposed to confir it for you? They never released Floyd's actual purse for that fight.

Either way, Baldomir was way more of a nobody than Margarito. Is that linear belt supposed to make Baldomir good or something?

Margarito was the ONLY WW titlist successfuly defendig his belt. Not Zab, not Baldomir, only Margarito, and against better comp. Top 10 ring rated comp.

Baldomir being the linear champ seems to be all the Floyd fans can say to defend this choice.

Today, linear titles have been borken so much bein linear isn't any better then being just a titlist.

It's what you do with the belt that gives it value. Fighters give the belt value, the belt doesn't automatically give the fighter value.
