I respect him for getting in there and risking everything. This is a BIG risk fight, alot of fighters would have side stepped this if the had the kind of chandelier chin hes got.
Khan is showing the way for being a young champ, whats the point being a World Champion and not fighting the tough hard fights, giving up the belt would be better. Boxing is for real warriors, not money makers. Take note other prize fighters Also Bradley and Alexander are laying it on the line, so respect to them.
True. Yes his major weakness is his punch resistence, and Maidana is the worst possible opponent for a handicap like that.....but to be the fighter that he wants to be, taking on opponents like these is compulsory. Not to mention that Maidana is his mandatory. But in principle I do agree with you. After the Prescott loss, noone gave him a hope in hell of winning a title and being risked against another big puncher. He's gone on to defy all the negative opinions that were thrown his way, and bounced back exceptionally. So for that, yes, massive respect to him.
Oh come on, Darni. You're acting as though Khan is the only fighter in the world who's taking on tough fights.
:good Totally agree, hes only doing something which is expected of a boxer, which all boxers should do. Nothing specal, just a sad state to see some of what is going on know days, especially at the top level.
Like a lot of young fighters at that early stage (Mayweather, Hopkins etc), he's showing real desire to fight the best. I hope he maintains that for as long as possible.
I thought you were pessimistic about your lads chances Rico (I might be wrong), you thinking now he'll get the win?
Sorry, dude. I should have put "...if he wins." My prediction hasn't wavered. I still think Maidana stops him.
I was. Let's hope I'm wrong again this time! Oh, and I was fully confident for the Prescott fight atsch
