Margarito was known more then Baldomir camel jockey. You keep talking about Margarito's ONE PPV...well genuis, how many had Baldiomir been on? And it's not only PPV that get you exposure ...it's fighting on HBO/SHO which Margarito had done before. Much moreso then Baldomir, the hero of Scar and Gumpy!

Where do you come up with this **** from? Baldo beating Zab was a huge story in boxing upset of the year and then he fought Gatti who was a big draw. No way in hell was Margo more known at that time than Baldo who was the linear champ to boot. You can tell that bull**** to someone else.
Already went over this. Being linear today doesn't carry any more weight then the other belts. I know that sucks, but boxing has shot itself in the foot because of this. too many champs, shady rankings, undeserving challenges over more deserving challengers. It is how it is. Belts, whether linear or vacant or paper, they gain their value by who hold them. A fighter makes the belt valuable. A belt doesn't make a fighter better all of a sudden. Hey, Floyd made the right choice facing the much easier Baldimir then Margarito. At least if he fought Margarito, half the crowd wouldn't have booed and left.
