He's also one of the most boring fighter's in history too, he's only beating **** opp.

If he had fought a prime Lewis, Ali, Foreman ect he would loose plenty, but when your fighting the likes of Briggs, Gomez, Jhonson, Sosnowski ect its pretty easy to rack up those rounds.

No matter what anyone says he is never going to have a career defining fight to determine how good he really was, lets face it he aint no Lewis. He will always be remembered as a champion in a starved era who's best effort was a loosing one against a shot fighter.

He lost 2 late rounds to Kotelnik and 1 round i had a draw, but he was far ahead on scorecards so he could allow himsellf it. No way he lost any round to Mallinagi.

He lost the first against Gomez, no doubt about that. I dunno, there's a tonne of his early fights that I haven't seen and I suspect many haven't seen that we don't know about, he could have been dropping the odd round here or there.

But bonds post is pretty much what we need to be getting our head around here. This guy has faced a succession of C level fighters, and we are talking C level in a poor era with the likes of Briggs, Sosnowski, Arreola, Gomez etc. They wouldn't even be on the map if we were talking about the 70's or the 90's.

Roy Jones pre-Tarver, as already noted. I think anyone in this discussion should have a minimum of 35 fights. Lots of solid fighters climb the early ranks without losing many rounds. It's once they get to the top levels that it becomes so impressive. Roy was damn near untouchable (Mr. Unknockoutable...).

We're looking for career total though Vitali's ain't over, but at 39 he's not in his prime either, but why not do a pre-Tarver II Roy? Lost 1 vs. Castro, 4 vs. Hopkins, 2 vs. Toney, 3/4 vs. Griffin, 1 vs. Del Valle (KD), 2/3 vs. Harding, 3 vs. Ruiz, 5 vs. Tarver. Pretty dominant in the rest. Prime Sweet Pea, very good suggestion. Ibeabuchi is hardly accomplished but didn't lose many rounds. Khan lost several rounds in the many knockdowns. Hopkins at his very best was very dominant, but gave away many early. Mayweather used to be dominant, Wlad ain't **** either, just not in Vitali's league. Let's see how Rigo does, he's yet to lose one, but yet to face a top fighter. I reckon Nkosinathi Joyi is yet to lost 4 rounds and he's the #1 minimumweight at the moment, let's see how his career goes.

Question is still on: name any accomplished fighter in boxing history who lost fewer rounds than Vitali Klitschko!

He has hardly lost 4-5 rounds in his career I think - such a great fighter he was.

Vitali has fought some pretty weak competition to be fair, not his fault but still. Lennox cleaned out a pretty strong Heavyweight Division, Vitali has cleaned out a pretty weak one.

so overall Vitali or perhaps Amir Khan.

As for fighting elite talent, Mayweather loses like 1 round a fight?

WTF? Pernell Whitaker lost many rounds in his prime, and even more when he was past his prime.

unless you have actually seen all 40 odd of his fights i dont see how you can make that statement. and im sorry but i dont believe you have seen them all so i aint taking this thread seriously.

this whole thing with vitali is ridiculous. he will be competitive against anyone i history, he has hight, style and can brawl when needed. but he hasnt done enough to be classed as an ATG yet.

his best two opponents have been byrd and lewis, and no matter how we mix it, he lost them both. until he beats a world class opponent, we can't just rate him on what if's.

this is why his brother is better, he has done a lot more, and more consistently. prime for prime i would favour vitali, but that matchup never happened. the defeat by injury did happen, the defeat by cuts did happen, the 4 year lay off did happen.

williams is probably one of his best ever victories for crying out loud.

You can't pick and choose specific rounds you utterly dumb ****! Jones lost 11 rounds against calzaghe alone.

More than the winner, never lost a round in his entire career...
