Hey British fans. Who you all respect more? Froch? or Haye? And tell me why?

Simple question.

 

Froch

 

I respect both highly. i like Froch more but not sure if i respect anyone more.

 

Ive more respect for Froch.He is the one who is prepared to be involved in hard fights to prove he is the best.Haye just seems to want big paydays.

 

I've got equal respect for both of them. They're the best two boxers in Britain right now.

Haye's got more publicity and has recently gone down the alphabelt route instead of what he said he'd do but you can't really blame him. He was prepared to go for it straight away and fight Wlad but the media coverage he was getting for that fight was shocking for the world heavyweight championship. And when Setanta went bust Haye would get nothing from the fight so he was right to pull out. When he fights Wlad next year the publicity he'll get from the fight will finally do him justice so in all fairness I guess he has made the right move winning the WBA and fights against Ruiz and Audley.

As for Froch, the guys a warrior. I'm disappointed with the lack of attention that Froch gets. Outside of Nottingham he's barely known and this is borderline disgraceful. Sky never mention him for whatever reasons and his fights are restricted to internet feeds and obscure pay per view channels. I don't know the full details but I'm sure if Froch really wanted to he could get a decent tv deal. Even if it meant taking a slight pay cut in the short-term and making up with Sky. Meh I dunno. At the end of the day I respect them pretty equally and I've enjoyed watching their fights and following their careers more than the likes of Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzage personally.

Anyone who doesn't say Froch needs to have a word with themselves.

One of them will fight anyone, anywhere, and the other is a laughing stock who is wasting his career.

If only Froch had signed with Warren instead of Simon the Pieman :-(

I hate his style but there's no way you cant respect the man. He's earned it the last few years. Tough ******* who deserved a better promoter.

 

I respect Haye for taking on Carl Thompson at such an early stage and for bouncing back from that loss. For then using that to beat all who came before him in the cruiserweights which culminated in that terrific night in Paris against Mormeck and then a butchers job on Enzo Mac. But since he's moved to the heavyweights I'll be honest my respect for him has dipped. And my concern is that if he retires next Oct I wonder if we'll ever see the best of him at this weight class. His credibility is sliding quickly too. There seems to be more and more wanting Harrison to win. Which is a damn shame.

I have nothing but respect for Froch and always will. The guy is proper old school as cheesy as it sounds. Doesn't mess about and what you see is what you get. A warrior. He's taken on the best and has beaten the best. He's fought with injuries that some modern day fighters would've used as an excuse to pull out. His cv looks terrific and if he beats Abraham and wins the Super Six I think he should go down as an all-time great of British boxing.

 

Bang on. Summed it up nicely, though I think a Klit fight this year would have gained just as much publicity as it will next year. Both are heavily respected in this country, and both have achieved tremendous amounts in the sport.

 

Froch, simply because he's backed up his talk with alot of walk. Haye hasn't.

 

Both. Haye was winning a unified title in less than 30 fights. He's since beaten a once-beaten HW champion for a portion of the title.

Froch took on an unbeaten guy who's gone on to do brilliantly, then beat a decent fighter in Taylor, and has shown a willingness to fight the best.

But the two are in different situations - so you can't judge them entirely on their behaviour.
