    joe burman was awarded the NYSAC world batam tittle in 1923 (he was born in england) joe lynch had been stripped of the tittle ,burman was awarded the tittle just before his fight with abe goldstein which he lost , so he like norton never won his tittle in the ring i think

    My original assumption was that it was to comprise of Queensbury champions, although I guess "IN HISTORY" contradicts that view. Either way, it's not my thread, so who am I to say?

    i get the feeling im in good hands with El Bujia, Mr Butt and mattdonnellon on the case.

    im looking for british world champs.

    i can do a pre modern history section if needed.

    im 50/50 on bare knuckles.

    the lines gotta fall somewhere

    if theres an exhaustive list of every british world boxing champ then im happy.
