 Well personally I slightly favour peak Robinson over Hagler but I would certainly not favour the well past it version of Basillio 2. Even though he rolled back the years in that one he was still nowhere near his best.

snide comments and emoticons, thats all you've got mother ****er. Why you think i'm attacking Robinson i do not know. Theres no doubt in my mind that he is the P4P greatest, visually most impressive and H2H the most formidable. But he does not beat everyone at every weight he ever fought just because his tapes are black and white and he had a cool looking moustache. On the same note i wouldnt and have never claimed he would for sure be beaten by anyone outright.

When to it comes to talking about these old timers to people like bodhi and such, its that feeling you get where you have to mention how you have 8 black friends before you discuss race

And you honestly believe that a completely green Hopkins is proof of Jones being tested and accomplished at middleweight?? Honestly? For real?

    Your dumb, or completely biased.

First things first, would Robbo v Hagler v RJJ be over 12 or 15 rounds?

As we know, SRR was a 15 round fighter, MMH 15 or 12 & RJJ only proven over 12.

    Also assuming pre 1953 Robbo.

Assuming 15, SRR v MMH, I give a slight, very slight edge to MMH, MMH was virtually unbeatable during his reign - SRR not quite so unbeatable.

SRR/MMH v RJJ? MMH too much of a beast for RJJ & SRR better than RJJ, period.

    All imo of course!

You aren´t worth anymore. Your comments are hilarious. Comparing a green Hopkins to the best version of Robinson at mw? Sorry but if you have been serious there you are more of a lunatic than I thought.

completely green, give me a ****ing break. I'll say this, because there is absolutely no use talking to you nipple suckers. I would pick the Jones i see on film vs Hopkins, to defeat the Robinson i see on film vs Lamotta IV

Mickey Duff, whom I consider a very shrewd judge of fighters, believes Hagler beats Ray ,in fact he thinks Hagler is the no 1 at 160bs.
    Just a thought.

And you don't think Jones looks so good because of a green fighter opposite him?

That Jones vs Lamotta, and tell me you think he looks as good.

Too much gets made of Hopkins "greenness" to downplay Jones' win. First of all Jones was pretty green as well. Secondly if you watch Hopkins' fights going up to the Jones fight he looks great. He still fights very well technically and is much more aggressive and active, as he grew he became more clever, but the technique was always there. I would actually say this "green" Hopkins had a style that was better suited for fighting Jones than the one he would adopt later.
