Reasoning: Fiorentina have been on the slide for quite a while and as you've probably noticed I've been keen to oppose them when the right opponent has come along. This looks another opportunity to go against them.

The rot started to set in during the latter part of Cesare Prandelli's reign in the 2nd half of last season and has continued this season under new boss (and ex Catania boss) Sinisa Mihajlovic. In the last 20 games of last season Fiorentina only picked up 17 points. Only relegated Livorno had a worse record. Despite the change of manager there weren't many major changes in the Fiorentina playing squad and they have pretty much carried on their poor form this season with just 8 points from 8 games. Overall Fiorentina's 2010 record is the worst in the whole of Serie A.

Away from home in 2010 they have a P13, W1, D3, L8, F10, A20 record. They've not kept a single clean sheet in those 13 games and failed to score in 6.

Catania are unbeaten at home in the whole of 2010 with a P15, W9, D6, L0, F25, A8. They have kept clean sheets in 8 of those 15 games and only failed to score once. A lot of those results were gained under now Fiorentina boss Mihajlovic but again they have pretty much the same side this season as last and look to be continuing last seasons form this year.
