Yeah it's wierd. It's also wierd when you think that only 2 of those guy's are still left in the tournament. But back then, who would've thought it?
In all seriousness. Khan, if his chin is covered up, will win a good decision. If he makes a mistake and Maidana takes advantage of it, it could be lights out. I lean toward a Khan decision(barely)
If Bradley wins the close SD, then no I don't think Khan should be warranted that number one spot. Alexander, despite the Kotelnik fight, is a more formidable opponent than Maidana in my opinion. The only way Khan can leapfrog Bradley, is by facing him in the ring.
he wont leaqpfrog him in the ratings, but in terms of h2h odds i think he would. most opponents are gonna be more formidable than maidana IMO, he is tailor made for khan. the fact is tho, he is somehow seen as the 4th best fighter in the divison.
That's the thing. I don't think Khan's defence is developed enough to withstand a Maidana onslaught. Once Maidana breaks through those defensive barriers, it's a certain KO win for him. Maidana - late KO/TKO
Could happen... really could happen. I have the impression of Maidana being a really hard puncher because I saw him fight ortiz live. I was in the 6th row. You could hear Maidana's punches landing, it was brutal. I think if he connects it's over, but I think Khan is training to make sure he doesn't connect and he wins on points.
"I think my power is natural, it comes from my dad & my mom. The people of my country are very strong."
H2H odds, then yes, I can see how Khan would emerge as the favourite. But as styles make fights, I won't be paying too much attention on any H2H odds.
My real criticism of Amir went away when he signed this fight. This is the fight to answer all the questions in my mind. If he weathers the Maidana storm, 140lbs is his to own.
"I'm not looking at the fight w Bradley-Alexander, I'm focused on my fight w @AmirKingKhan. I will be ready for either one though."
