Spot on about the structures in australian boxing. Pittman's fight against Sturm been prime example,he got absolutely battered and shouldn't of been let anywhere near a world title shot. In australia they think its better winning these pan-pacific and intercontinental versions of world titles than going the traditional and tougher route. True, they improve your ranking with the govening bodies but the standard of opponents are shocking. Japan i reckon has one of the best structures. The JBC the governing body in japan, they have their own offical rankings so nobody is fast tracked too soon. You win the japanesse title, then the OPBF title which is there version of a euro or commonwealth strap, and is very hard to win that even because former world titleists or challengers are up for it at times. As for world titles, they only fight for the WBC and WBA titles as they dont recognise the other 2.

I'm pretty sure yeah. Japanesse fighters like Satoshi Hosono and current WBA champion Ryol Li Lee just to name to 2 fought for it im pretty sure after 10-14 fights. I'm sure u will find loads though. Its true that they aren't fast tracked but they are matched very tough right from the start.

The Japs have only recognised the WBA & WBC for decades now.
Thanks to their good structure the OPBF Titles in all the middle to lighter divisions have great credibility & a stepping stone to a legit world title shot.

Bundrage is a pushover titlist - anyone in their right mind would target him.
