This thing's going to be big. There was about a minute's worth of coverage on channel 7 yesterday(they hardly ever cover boxing)!

I agree to an extent. But in no way is 27,000 tix sold bad, unless you have unreasonable expectations. It could easily be at 35K by fight night. not bad at all.

It'll be around the same for the Clottey fight.

    35K is horrible, man.

    If Pac-Clottey does 51K, 35K for Pacquiao-Margarito looks horrible.

This fight should exceed that, if not level it at the least.

Think how much promotion there has been compared to that one. This one should exceed on a different level.

He got 55 with Clottey. We need to admit that anything less than 50k is a disappointment.

    You don't understand.

If Pacquiao-Clottey did 51K, you'd only obviously expect higher or the same, would you not?

    .

Pac vs. Clottey broke a long standing attendence record in the US. I don't expect records like that to be broken ever time after.

Well when you have a much bigger recognised MEXICAN opponent instead of a little known Clottey, I personally and pretty much everyone else here expect higher numbers.

That does seem odd, what with Plastarito being a bigger name than Clottey. Maybe they'll sell quick as the fight draws closer but anything less than 50k would have to be considered a disappointment.
