u have gone from speaking in circles to making literally no sense at all.

this thread began with a honest question. it had a easy answer, boxing in ireland is a all island sport, same as rugby, and athletics and a lot of other things. its not a matter of controversy or international relations, simply a reality

this is supposed to be a boxing site, to discuss boxing.

if u want to talk politics take it to the lounge or slugger o toole:hi:

They are counted in UK census figures not what ever the Irish equaivalent is. They ar Citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland so they are "Northern Irish/British" whether they like it or not.

This is the way I see it, if you are listing boxers from Ireland and Britain it is best to do it geographically, not by loyalty, religion or any of that other bollox. That has no place in sport.

So boxers from the Island of Ireland should be listed together under "Boxers from ROI" and "Boxers from NI", this is not to say that most fighters from the 6 counties are not Irish, of course they are and I would never describe anyone as Northern Irish. As far as I'm concerned if you see yourself as Irish it doesn't matter what corner of the rock you live on.

    Fra, chill out ffs .

Love reading fra's posts. They are always uninformed ramblings of a genuine hate filled ****** and gives Irish people a bad name.
