Jesus Soto Karass...I projected him to be an even better version of Antonio Margarito but he remained Margarito Lite. He just got caught in a state of arrested development. :conf

I just checked, and you're right . . . . sort of. He won a vacant title and lost it on the first defense. I still think he was one of those guys who never came close to living up to expectations.

Donalds biggest mistake was falling for Muhammad's lures of showgirls limousines & big $$$$$$ fights & deserting the man that had been at the helm from when he was a peewee that man was Dave Gorman

It was Lamont Peterson for me. He can still do big things, but he really hasn't made that transition like i thought he would. Just so one paced against the elite.

To be fair, Joe was quite promising before his injury. But Guinn and Harrison were just awful.

I think quite a few guys have been hyped as the "next Margarito" but it's such and underrated style, very few can pull it off. Physically, you have to be immense and very few guys are.

I was huge on Mijares for a short while. I was hyping him up and then he just collapsed. Amazing turnaround. Pretty much the opposite of what a guy like Khan has done.

He had a very respectable run. I stand by having been a fan of Mijares. Darchinyan had his number and he never made it back to the same level where he was before. He hardly "went bust" like people on here made it out to be (having taken Amsterdam's kidding too seriously).

He will be looked back on as a good fighter who had a very nice little spell as a titlist pre-Darchinyan.

But...he WAS a big-time belt-holder. He utterly dominated his division for ****'s sake!
