Brilliant bout...I was having a debate about this bout a couple months back, I just used it as an excuse to rewatch it...great stuff.

 

Honestly, this fight was the reason that I thought Cotto wouldnt have a chance with Pac. And there was this other fight where Cotto got a gift decision against another turd, just couldnt remember who.

btw, where the F*CK is Ricardo Torres. Its Bull**** that him and Kendall Holt can't fight a 3rd time.

 

atsch That's such a RIDICULOUS thing to say. If that was the case, Holyfield was shot going into the first Bowe fight because he went to war with fcuking everybody. The punches he took in the first Qawi fight took more of a toll on him than Marg's did on Cotto. I mean Holyfield had taken a lot of shots from Qawi, Holmes, Foreman, Cooper, Dokes etc.

cotto round 2 against Torres was even worse.

 

This is why Puerto Ricans, heck, real boxing fans love Cotto. Heart, Grit, Determination! B+ skills, but A++ heart, A++ will! As he has demonstrated, if and when he loses, you gotta whip his ass. No ***** ass lay downs!

Yeah, Im a Pacfan, but wasnt too happy when Cotto lost.

 

great little scrap, cotto was in trouble on 3-4 seperate occasions, I think the weight making was starting to take its toll, he only had 2 more fights at light welter after Torres, and they were against Branco and Pauly I think. He was lucky to survive at times against Torres, but Cotto is a warrior
