Just a quick, simple question. If Pacquiao gets past Margarito, do you think he'll go for the middleweight belts? Could he possibly be targeting the winner of Martinez/Williams II at a 155lb catchweight?

EDIT: For the sake of getting a more accurate prediction, if you think he'll at middleweight at a catchweight higher than 155, for example if you think he'll fight the winner but at 157, then just select that option on the poll as if it says at any catchweight rather than at 155lbs.

No. If he gets past Margarito he becomes the greatest fighter of all time! :happy

Cheers ladies. Is there anyway to edit a poll while we're here?

Precisely. Once he beats the known cheat who got destroyed by old Shane Mosley, after fighting him for a title at a catchweight below the 154 pound limit. If Sugar Ray Robinson were alive today, he'd be shaking in his boots.

It would be great if he went up to MW and could be, but it sure looks like he's gonna call it a day, and forcefeeding a million calories a day is a *****.

Personally, I think he should go for it if Williams manages to win, which could still be a possibility providing he doesn't look like he did against Cintron, and maybe provided Martinez gets a bit complacement and Williams has studied him since the last fight.

Williams - even if he would manage to beat Martinez - is still far from unbeatable. If Pac manages to come through against a tall, hard-hitting, high work-rate guy like Margarito and comes through in style, I don't see why he can't beat Williams, who is extremely sloppy, has no defence to speak of and makes tonnes of mistakes.

Martinez, I wouldn't be so sure about. We're yet to see how Pacquiao's speed would hold up at that sort of weight (although he'd still probably come in sub 150 I'm sure) and he's in against a quick guy there himself, who's awkward, precise with his punches and hits harder than given credit for at times.

It depends if The Vacationer grows a set. If we presume he doesn't, and Pac doesn't retire, I think the MW title at 156lbs vs the winner of Martinez-Williams is the most likely option.

I also think they would definitely fight Williams if he won, Martinez not so much.

Perhaps, yeah. I remember when the topic came up about Manny going for congress and I said I hope he loses and somebody called me a hater.

I have no problem with Manny being a politician after boxing, I just don't want him to cut his boxing career short and lose his passion for it anymore when he's still got so much to give to the sport.
