The Ayala fight should have proved to people that David is no hype job, he got KO RND1 . It took Abraham 12 rounds in 2008 to bang Ayala out. Lemieux is destined for big things IMO .

Definitely has something about him punching wise, the way he's sparking fairly durable people and the number of actual KO's he has is scary.

That said he's got a lot of work to do on his boxing ability. What's he going to do when somebody stands up to him and boxes? Is he going to swing hooks for 10-12 rounds? Question marks.

Bigger puncher P4P than Valero IMO :deal

Lemieux is one of the most exciting prospects in world boxing. Still only 21 as well :scaredas:

Definitely question marks over his boxing ability but his power is insane. There's not that many (if any?) prospects who have that kind of raw power.

One of the Canadian posters on the General says Ouma could be his next opponent. Not bad, Kassim gave Martiroysan a very tough fight.

Exactly, he's not stopping fighters on their feet, he's completely blitzing them.

I'd like to know how many rounds he's capable of fighting that way for. Say he's fighting a tough guy who tries to keep him on the outside. I wonder whether he's a power puncher > 6 rounds or whether its an early blitz and then he settles down and takes something off his punching. I can't imagine him lasting well in a 12 rounder down the stretch unless he has Plan B, he'd need unreal stamina to punch like that all night you can see the effort he's putting in.

well to be fair he had three ( i think) national titles before he was 18. He can definitely box a bit as well. His trainer Russ Amber is a very conventional coach. Im sure Lemieux is pretty well rounded. And the only time hes been 10 rounds he handled it well, so stamina doesnt seem that much of an issue. Also how tough is Jason Naugler for lasting 10

also Amber said he doesnt want him to fight for a title till hes had 40 fights although that seems impossible now. His proomoter says it will be within 12 months
