Anyone find Ward's team suspicious?

He just shut Greene down, Allan was never really the type of fighter to cause any top level fighters any problems.

The only complain i have about Ward is that all his fights seem to be in his hometown. I guarentee you when Ward reaches the final, the fight will be in his house

 

Ward got the toughest opponent in his very first fight when he was still very green.

He is the best fighter in the division. Dirrell knows he would have lost this one.

Also, Ward got 3 fights in his hometown, but he got it up front. It's not like he changed his mind or something. Don't forget Ward won a gold medal in Athens so I think he knows that he can fight abroad. I think he realises that fighting at home is an advantage that any fighter would like to have and he would be stupid to throw that away. Also, fighting at home helps build your fanbase.

Don't forget that Froch vs Abraham almost got cancelled over who gets home advantage. That Froch blames his loss to Kessler on not having home advantage.

I'd rather a fighter get home advantage than fight abroad and then blame his loss on it.

He took the pre tournament favourites belt and beat him first fight. He schooled Green - They could of been fighting at Green's family reunion with his mother as referee and his wife and children as judges and they still wouldn't of found a way not to give it to Ward.

 

Ward. the most overated fighter in America. With his most overated win in supermiddleweight history

 

+1 It's not like he emulating Bute who has faced one type of opponent in his back yard for his entire career.

 

I gotta give Ward love for his style and wins in dominant fashion. Lets be fiar here though, if his next super six fight is in Oakland then it is unfair to all other participants.

 

Showtime is trying to build him up as a new amercian boxingsuperstar. No doubt they want him to win the tournament.
Maybe Froch or AA can land an lucky punch on him or Bika knock's him out with a headbutt.
Showtime would be very pissed off

 

They should just hurry up and put Arthur vs Ward.

 

I don't know why some people are so high on the Green shutout. It was a downright stinker, with Ward continously pushing Allen against the ropes holding and hitting.
It was abismal performance of Green, beïng almost totally ineffective against such a simple tactic and an even worse performance of the ref blaming Allen for the clinches he desperatly tried to get out off.

The worst thing of it all is that Ward actually didn't need a hometown advantage to get away with something what didn't even remotely looked like boxing anymore. If he had fought somewhere else he would still have beaten Green easy witjout the use of his "ringsmarts".

I really like to see this guy fight without the security of getting away with everything, and I really think both his fans and the impartial boxfans would like that too... Because I really think this guy can actually box, and I think every boxfan favours that over his last two performances.

 

Andre Ward is on PEDs.

 

Ward fights in Oakland because he draws well here. About the size of a Warriors basketball game. It's business.

 

Al Haymon has hooked Ward up real nicely.
