David Lemieux announces 3 possible opponents for his next fight!

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by charlie brown, Oct 30, 2010.

  1. I just heard that David Lemieux's team has narrowed his opponent down to just three individuals. There are some people who want to see him step up in competition, and these next three opponents are certainly credible opponents.

    Tom A. Toecan

    Izzy Alive

Chai-Na Chin (a middleweight based out of Asia)

Glad to see Lemieux is still fighting the same level of competition.

he'll knock em all out in 10 seconds.

eventually the other ranked fighters will have no choice but to face him.

I think he has been fighting the right opposition and being brought along pretty well. Camacho was probably expected to take Lem some rounds. You gotta be immpressed in the way this kid has demolished usually durable guys. I would like to see him fight another up and comer though at this point. Hes never fought anyone close to being undefeated or a prospect so its hard to tell how he would do against someone who can match his confidence.

Ayala was a world title challenger not too long ago. Who cares? The lad is gradually stepping up in class and he's performing well. I said this when he was getting one round KO's aswell, but he's moved up a level and he's still getting them, so it just proves how good the kid is.

He's not even 22 yet and he was rushed through the amateurs. He never made it as a international on the amateur scene, only really suceeding as a national, as he lost the first tme he stepped up into the world U-17's & 19's. So he's still learning the trade really and still ad******g. He's gradually stepping up, he's in no rush, so let him continue to make small steps. He'll be ready to challenge for titles in time, don't you worry.

Seems like a harsh assesment for a kid moving up in the boxing world.
Could it be resentment for a white guy with some promise?

But of course. Still theres a ton of very good white fighters around now, must be so hard to take for guys like him

Lemieux has skill and pop. why not have Lemieux face a Cory Spinks or a Paul Williams. James Kirkland would be interesting. But anyway to test this guy, let's see him in with some solidified boxers. Kermit Cintron is another. David looks like he can really fight on that level but, how would we know? Hopkins, Felix Sturm, Arthur Abraham! Let's see him fight somebody real and move up from Jose Cesar Chavez Jr. like competition.

It's easy to say that he never faced a great opponent...there is no analysis of this guy with this affirmation.

Against Ayala i have seen him landing with so much power a left hook to the body following in the same movement with a left uppercut to the jaw.

All of this with great speed.

Tyson did it as well in the 80s

    He is very compact.

Plus he has improved his defense in the last year and he keeps his guard high.
