The "Ring Title" should count as an "official title."

I've been saying that "The Ring Title" shouldn't count etc etc...But after looking at Ring titles, THEY SHOULD COUNT AS TITLES...I bought into some politics with the "4 major sanctioning bodies":patsch but THE RING TITLE IS A MUCH MORE FOUGHT FOR TITLE IN MY OPINION.:good

Yes, Pacquiao did win titles in 7 weight classes. I was discrediting the Ring Titles he won at 126 and at 140, however the Ring Title gets much more credit over "the 4 major sanctioining bodies" and they have much better ratings. :good

    Vote.

There simply needs to be only one title in order to constantly force the best to face the best.

The RING title could be it...as the only official title.

The Ring title is more legit than the other titles, IMO.

Agree to an extent AS THE RING SHOULD BE A MAJOR TITLE AND I CONSIDER IT ONE. I ACTUALLY PREFER TWO TITLES...SO THEY CAN ALWAYS BE UNIFIED.

Definitely not. It should be seen as more of an award than a title in my opinion. It's a classic case of "there are too many titles in boxing so I'm going to make anoter title to sort it all out".

    Count it then.
(It's just a belt like the others)

One belt and the same weight divisions they have in the amateurs would do a lot of good for the sport

I suppose if you've already decided to count the WBO, WBU, IBO etc then it wouldn't make much sense not to count the Ring title.

Fo sho. Being the Ring champion is like being the People's Champion. That's what really counts. The alphabet organizations are a joke. I loved it when Barrera prefered to fight Hamed and prefered to be a Ring champ. I hope more fighters follow his lead. When you become champ, sure you make more money, but then there are also fees you have to pay. If you think you really are that good, fight for the Ring belt and the money and respect will come. People and fans will love you for it.

Ring title is the only real LEGIT title to me. All those alphabet belts are **** and just out there to take money from the fighters. Ring belt is the ultimate belt.

The RING were onto a good thing. Then GBP bought it. Now it remains tainted as despite what DLH say's there;s no reason for them not to be biased in favor of GBP fighters.

Not at all... People talk about corrupt this and that and what makes them think the people running the ring are not corrupt or in the future be part of corruption? I honestly rather have more than one group playing a role in boxing than just one group. If one fails the other is there, its always been like that and why should it be change.
