no one will beat Sylvester at GErmany.:yep At least not these guys because they dont have power to Crack Tha Chin.

 

Anybody not see sylvester's fight going the distance?

 

Round 1

Guinn is standing in front of Pulev, wings out a few jabs and ducks behind his gloves, looking very nervous. Pulev just watches him and feints a couple of times, and blocks an anxious and hasty flurry from Guinn. Pulev now drives him back with stiff jabs to the face, executing the punch with remarkable speed and straightness from his hip. Guinn keeps the earmuffs on and lets Pulev try to crack through it with stiff jabs and a hard right hand at an upward angle. Guinn stands in the center of the ring and slowly turns on his toes while keeping his arms very high exposing himself from the chest down (but Pulev is headhunting). Guinn's guard is rocked by the hard punches of Pulev.

Very nice stiff jabs by Pulev. A few good rights and combos too. Looking good so far.

 

Pulev has a nice tight guard. He also doesn't look like a tall guy at all. He looks like a slightly bigger Chagaev.

 

Thanks, id say the only way any of the very good up and coming middleweights will get a shot at either Sturms or Sylvesters belt is if they get into a mandatory position. I doubt either of them would take a risky mandatory option

 

Round 2

Guinn comes out with hot hands trying to slam Pulev against the ropes but is quickly fought back into retreat by the smooth and unhurried Bulgarian. Pulev is jabbing Guinn in the face from very short range and easily blocking Guinn's attempts at infighting by simply locking his elbows together and turning in rhythm. Guinn throws a shot and Pulev goes down - but it was a slip. Pulev loads up on a big 1-2 but Guinn ducks it and comes hard at Pulev's body. Pulev goes back to jabbing him in the face and Guinn tries to catch him unaware with wild erratic charges that wind up as clinches when Pulev turns away.

 

Wish I wasnt working. I really wanted to watch Pulev vs Guinn

 

Round 3

Pulev tries to keep Guinn frozen in place with his jab but Dominick has other ideas, trying to hop quickly around to Pulev's flank. For his trouble he eats a combo of a right hand and a short hook. Pulev is really putting punches together now as he slowly but surely cuts the ring off on an increasingly lost looking Guinn. The American still has his hands up high and looks determined to not absorb too much heavy damage. He quickly flips his right glove from one side of his chin to the other to shield against the power punches of Pulev coming from different angles. Pulev is in no rush, and goes back to jabbing the shorter Guinn's hairline from arm's length.

30-27 Pulev

 

Guinn's trainer tells him to be more active and double his jab.

Guinn's reaction was not encouraging, basically consisting of "Yeah, OK :conf"

 

Somebody at the IBF is on drugs! Those rankings are ridiculous. I'm 100% certain Pavlik and Macklin should be at #1 and #2.

 

Round 4

Pulev whips Guinn with long-range 1-2 combos. Guinn shuffles very cautiously forward and to the left, looking uncertain as to how he should approach without getting blasted. He ducks when Pulev is barely even feinting. Pulev doesn't pressure, just sends long jabs Guinn's way while Guinn is making up his mind what direction to move in. When Pulev gets sick of waiting on him he'll tap him with a jab or right hand to the body. Now Pulev is pestering Guinn, staying in close and knocking on his tight head guard with both hands.
