What Ward does on the inside is not 'dirty' (apart from the head, lol!) it's skillful, there's a big difference. I think he can beat Froch many ways, like i said in the previous post. I just think he'll choose the path to least resistance. Smothering Carl's power is what he would do IMO. Although he would mix it up and counter on the outside, especially later on in the fight. I could just see him drawing Carl's lead at mid range, countering him with one shot then folding him up and going to work on the inside. Andre Ward is kind of special i think. He's not the most athletic, doesn't have incredibily fast reflexes nor is he the biggest puncher, but he's learned his craft. He's on top because he has learned boxing. He anticipates so well and is so comfortable in the ring. The kid is in everybodies top 10 P4P, not because he's a super athlete with fast hands, but because he's mastering the basics and fundamentals, crossing the I's and dotting the T's. Give me a fighter like him anyday of the week. We'll find out about his chin, (which he had slight issues with early on in the embryonic stages of his career) as we go along, but this sort of fighter who's so polished ain't getting knocked out anytime soon.
Thats my point... like theres a matrix standard... whens Clev fighting Brahmer so we can get this **** over with? This content is protected
He's not in my P4P top ten yet. Kessler and Green don't make him P4P IMO. He could be great but too soon to tell.
I like Ward as a fighter. Hope he gets an opportunity to fight Froch. I'm getting excited by forch v abraham.... i want abraham to crack that "graniiiite" chin.
