Hernandez knocked Corey out cold yet Maidana couldn't.

I've rarely seen a fighter's face so disfigured after only a couple of rounds as Ortiz that night.

What a exciting matchup this is...

    Maidana punches hard

Everybody thinks Khan can't take a punch

Khan has ridiculous amount of speed, and I believe his power is improving

I predict a KO - don't know which way - but hopefully for Khan.

What's your point? Breidis Prescott couldn't stop Humberto Toledo, who had been stopped in 1 round by Lamont Peterson and 3 by Humberto Soto. Nor could he stop Kevin Mitchell, who Michael Katsidis blasted out in 3 rounds. Yet, Prescott wobbled Khan in the first 20 seconds with a jab and had him out in less than 60 seconds.

My point is Kelly is making it sound like anyone Maidana hits will be stone cold. No way he hits harder than Sam Peter.

Is your point you hate Khan?

This Maidana bull**** hype is getting out of hand. Khan schools and stops him.

Who says Maidana hits harder than Peter? Not Kevin or the interviewer. When Kevin says Maidana is the hardest hitter he's been in the ring with, having sparred heavyweights, that doesn't suggest that Maidana has more power than the heavyweights. It suggests Maidana likely landed his best shots on Kevin, while the heavies were pulling their power shots.

Absolutely...not. I just think Khan getting sparked out in 60 seconds by the one fighter he's fought with sem-decent power is just as relevant as Maidana going the distance with a cagey vet.

I think Maidana is proportionately a bigger puncher than Peter is.

While on an absolute force basis, Peter punchers harder, on a relative basis, Maidana could well be the harder puncher.

Perhaps Kelly was meaning that in comparison to everyone he has sparred, no one has ever relatively punched as hard as Maidana.

A HW is always going to be the biggest puncher. But Maidana in regards to his size might punch like a middleweight or a bigger fighter. Sparring him would be surprising, since you would not expect somone of his size and stature to punch with that much force. That would make the the "biggest" puncher then

    :good

The Amir Khan who fought prescott is a different animal than modern day amir khan. Completely different fighter.

I expect Khan to dominate him as well. People see the victor ortiz-maidana fight and they see the khan-prescott fight and they go goo goo ga ga over maidanas chances...I'm not buying it. Maidanas going to get whooped.

Maybe this. But I find it extremely hard to believe that a heavyweight would not pull punches when working with Kelley. When I work with big, experienced guys, they usually take it easy on contact knowing that I'm only 130 something pounds and that their working on experiencing speed and work rate instead of trying to blow me out of there. Maidana was probably really hitting Kelly.
