When people deminish Floyd's Welterweight record is it a sign of how good he is?

I don't believe either guy ducked each other. Shane decided to fight Floyd when he 38, I don't believe he would have ducked Floyd when he was younger. I don't feel Floyd ducked Shane. There where bigger fights out there that where financially huge to the point where they should have been interned in mental institutions had they not taken them. No argument about ducking holds weight when there is that amount of money available elsewhere.

It's sad that such things happen, but it comes with his arrogance and unlike personality. Shane was suppose to be his greatest challenge until he simply shut Shane down. Now all of a sudden Shane was to old. Floyd tried to make the fight with Shane several years before Shane was consider old and Shane did not want it, pretty much like what Pac has been doing to Shane now, so who fault was that? Floyd mention that this would be the excuse, during there sit down face off. Pac being to small will be the excuse if they should ever meet. And there will be plenty more after should he face future opponents.

No it's not about Floyd's personality(thought he does not have a good personality), Floyd really has a weak resume. Shane was really old he is what 38-39 years old.

Floyd got my respect for dominating Shane Mosley offensively and defensively and didn't run away doing it. It was shown a few months later though that Floyd dominated a 38 year old Sergio Mora level fighter.

it is possible that a diminished record means he really has not done much at 147 like some here have said. Fighters are said to be great very early on now compared to years ago. They should not be annointed great until they have a great career. So far Floyd lacks a great career.

I think every one like me thinks that Floyd is a great fighter without a great resume, he would be favored over most of the guys that he ducked\ did not fight, but that does not give him any of those wins.

People diminish it because it's weak, especially for a guy that was ranked P4P#1 in the time he fought there. It's also because there were better fighters he could have fought like Cotto, Margo, Pac, P.Williams

    @ 147 he beat:
2 natural jr welters (shot Mitchell, Hatton)
    a lightweight (JMM)
Judah (coming off a loss to Baldomir)
    Baldomir (Age:35, record:43-9)
    Mosley (Age: 38 )

The welterweight division was vastly overrated. We got a bunch of B and C level fighters, Cotto, Margarito, Williams, then the likes of Quintana, Cintron, Collazo and they were so vastly overrated as a class that Floyd is figured to have ducked them, this is largely Top Rank propaganda and BS.

DLH that Floyd fought beats the **** out of Cotto and Margarito. The Mosley that Floyd fought beat the **** out of Margarito in real life. And Floyd beat both of them. In my opinion better scalps then the rest with maybe the exception of Paul Williams, who was ducked by the Top Rank "elite" aswell.

Haters gonna hate. None of the haters would actually lay cash on any of these bums.
