I cringed when I heard Briggsy say what he did. I know he didn't say it out of malice, it slipped out because he was so keen. That doesn't excuse the fact he said it and that it offended you.

Junior I think you are best of speaking to Paul, rather than starting a thread on a boxing forum. I'm sure if you explain yourself and why you are upset, he'd apologize. If you truly have a problem with Paul as a commentator of your fights, you need to take that up with Main Event/Foxtel.

Save all your energy for fighting. With all due respect angry men don't last as long in the game as reasonable men. Compare Mike Tyson to Lennox Lewis.

No class. But he'd probably qualify for a coaching job at the AIS
    with that on his resume.

Lets not overplay the comment, it should not have been said but i bet most of us have said it in the past. Still not acceptable on a national broadcast but we're not talking about a show like "dancing with the stars" o "Xfactor"

Jnr would be better off contacting Briggs and having a coffee and ask him about a few issues he has.

your so wrong with that comment kel.

aussie boxing is full of men from different backgrounds and cultures, they all should be shown respect.

i dont have a clue what you mean by saying "its not like dancing with the stars or x factor"

you think it's disrespectful? I don't think it was said in a bad way, & would it be different if he said "this coconut is a great boxer"

Good fight, JR did well but was caught with a jab quite a few times coming in , in the last two rounds, which suprised me. I could see Taylor being good on the inside with counters though.

I don't think he should ever comentate, big Aussie fights. Not for a while any way. The comment was out of line , but did not mean to insult JR , so I would let it slide.

"Coconut" is not a term of endearment and is derogatory. The comment should not have been made, regardless of the context or intent.

Briggs shouldn't have been commentating full stop, given that the results of the investigation are yet to be made public.

I've got no issue with Briggs returning to commentary, however Main Event should've waited until he was at least formally cleared of any wrongdoing in that debacle.
