You're right, the WBA, WBC, IBF & WBO have never had any issue with corruption.

You have a point, it's a great policy not stripping their champions but one of the issues with the ring title is what to do when champions move division or dont defend their title.

 

The Ring title is a ****ing magazine award. It's about as meaningful as a Nickelodeon Kids Choice award.

The Ring is the exact opposite of the way a real title has to exist. Without the other organisations - you know, the ones that have to deal with actually organising fights - the Ring wouldn't exist. Technically speaking, it's a parasite - living off the work of others.

It's easy to sit round and suck your thumb about ratings and crap after everyone else has actually dug in and done the work.

Ring Belt more legit that WBA now. Haye was given WBA title on paper, but not in the ring. Vlad won WBA title by beating Chagaev who actually did beat Valoeuv in the ring.

Its a biased pathetic little firm that has its favourites just like the rest of the sanctioning bodies, 1 more bit of **** on a pile of **** aint gonna improve anything, quite the opposite actually.

 

The Ring is owned by dickheads and posers, masquerading as not being biased.

 

I think for some time the Ring Magazine world title has been the difinitive title to hold :deal , nothing much more to say really

 

So in colnclusion - The WBA are ****, The WBC are ****, The IBF are ****, The WBO are **** and THE Ring are ****.

So.......we have no world champions?

 

Yes and No, they have some weird quasi policies regarding their title, like for example how Pacquiao is still the 140 lbs champ when holding a belt at 147 and fighting for one at 150. Also, how wasn't the winner of Mayweather-Mosley crowned the Ring Welterweight Champion? It was the Number 1 ranked welter(number 3 P4P) vs the Number 2 welterweight(Number 2 P4P).

But outside of that yes, they have been a great barometer on who is the champ and who isn't.
