I think Dirrell is clearly faking it. It's pretty obvious. He's got a pretty dumb team around him. That guy who was talking about the money early on in the program and then talking more shite later in the program seems like a bit of a tool. He was the same guy on the apron screaming that Abraham had elbowed Dirrell after Dirrell had been "knocked out cold" by Abraham. He pretty much has played a serious role in damaging Dirrells reputation bigtime

I have to say, Abraham was pretty funny when he suggested Dirrell should now go to Hollywood and be an actor... lol
I liked that, as well as: "When a man doesn't want to fight, he'll make a 1,000 excuses." King Arthur is badass.
Watching this and the other fightcamp 360 episodes the man I really feel for is Ken Hershman. He has invested allot of time and money into the tournement and trying to re-vitalise boxing. Due to egos involved and boxing...being boxing the tournement has failed to live up to its origonal hype. Viewing figures for tourement fights have not been significantly higher than regular world championship boxing This could have been Hersman and Showtimes last big push for the sport and I would not be shocked if they pull there boxing budget in the next couple of years.
They were idiotic in their conception of the tournament in my opinion. To have a group stage and then a knockout stage is silly. Fighters are going to be KO'd in fights or are going to have really hard fights and they can't be fighting back to back in these type of fights. It should have been a knockout tournament. Get 8 fighters, Ward - Dirrell - Froch - Abraham - Taylor - Kessler - Green - Johnson or whoever and just set them against each other with the loser eliminated. If that was the case, Kessler/Dirrell and Taylor would have been eliminated in the first round. Ward vs Froch and then Abraham vs Green/Johnson and the winners fight for the title. Easy and it wouldn't have fallen apart and would have really put boxing on the map. Instead we get garbage pull outs and it all leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Group stages is a ridiculous notion.
You still would of had pull outs in a 8 man KO tournement. Whats happens when you got to the semi final and a fight pulls out? You would still have injurys and pulls out no matter what. The reason they got the champion like Froch, Abraham and Kessler to sign up to the tourney in the first place and give up home advantage for title fights is because they were promised 3 dates by Showtime. That promise cannot be made without Dirrell lost to Froch but beat Abraham. Kessler lost to Ward but beat Froch Froch and Abraham lost but get there shot straight away agaisnt eachother. Surley that proves there a purpose to the round robin.
was listening to Froch's interview on OTR speaking Sauerland, he certainly doesn't like him. Also mentions that Sauerland are doing the whole promotion for the Abraham fight.
Probably a good thing. The more that Fat Mick is involved, the more viewers he seems to exclude. I've sort of come to the conclusion that Fat Mick is like an anti-promoter. Froch himself says the things to create the headlines anyway.
