Just spoke to George Groves and Adam Booth and according to them they were stil "hopeful" more than anything

Rumours are circulating that the unbeaten Commonwealth super-middleweight champion will take on unbeaten Scot Kenny Anderson (12-0). However, both parties have not reached a deal as of yet. But it is a test that Groves would relish. “Anderson has been in the picture for a while now. He fits the bill for what we want from an opponent. For me it would be one of if not the best domestic super-middleweight fight out there. He’s better than what we’ve seen of him. There’s no doubt he’s under-performed and I’m sure he’d rise to the occasion if he fought me,” said Groves

Speaking to Kevin Maree in an hour so hopefull everything will be cleared up.

Cheers Pal, point still stands though.

Won't changing preperation by a fortnight at this short notice be risky?

Great news for the fans that it's on though.

true but they must be confident of victory plus the money on offer is probably much better for this than Quigley.

    Hopefully

Very happy this fight is happening and it actually measn I will buy the PPV as I like this fight and want to watch Sexton.

Should be a decent test for Groves but Anderson doesn't look anything special to me and he looks more like a middleweight. Good fighter but no world beater. Good experience for Groves though

I spoke with Quigley last night and he said he is fighting Anderson in December....winner to meet Smith/Degale. No mention of GG.

Fair point but he was a bit unusual in that his career kicked up two gears quite late on. Obviously it's early days for both these guys but based on what I've seen of Anderson I think Groves would take him. Is SMW really his best weight. He has a look of Quigley about him in that it would appear middle would suit him better

If this goes ahead it will make the undercard come to life. I like both fighters but have to get behind Kenny, this could really propell him.

Well Anderson will lose his status in the eliminator if he loses to a British fighter...Groves.

So maybe Groves vs Quigley in December.

Kieron I can see where people are coming from. Kenny isn't body beautiful but thats as much his skin tone as anything else. He's got some engine on him. He can punch- mark me words this is no Adamu.

Fair dues Jeff, in fairness I haven't seen a lot of him and I realise it's not a bodybuilding contest but he looks to me like he could do middle and this may be an issue against a naturally big SMW. It should be a very good fight for both. I wish there were more fights of this caliber planned for our domestic rivals
